Change the color?

I just got a 2009 sedan completely stock with 10,700 miles on it. It runs great, totally like new. I know this because I had a 2008 SS coupe 8 years ago. Anyway, I hate the black color and it needs some dings removed. From a collector's point of view, how much would the value decrease if I had it painted Imperial Blue (as per the Chevy available colors in 2009)? Of course none of us know what this car will be worth in 20 more years, maybe nothing? I am looking for opinions in this. I have no plans to modify it any other way as I have a heavily modified 2001 Mustang and a moderately modified Volvo C30 to occupy my tweaking obsessions.

Thanks.

Best bet would be to have the dents pulled and get the car wrapped. A good quality wrap will last many years. I would steer away front painting a car with that low miles. Especially if you plan on keeping it for a long time.

If you're worried about collector car status, original paint >> repaint if the paint is in good condition.

A good, proper paint job would cost almost the same, if not more, than the car is worth.
