Exclamation Change light bulbs

Alright, so it's a very stupid question but I tried it this weekend and failed.

I got my headlight out, but didn't understand some of the steps in the manual

1) What's the "7.2. Remove the black retainer by turning it counterclockwise." I didn't get it and that's where I failed... There's a big black thing indeed, but it sure didn't want to turn any way...

2) for the sidemakrer I had no trouble taking it off the housing but they say you need a tool to help you turn the bulb socket, what kind of tool and how do you do that? I was affraid to break the bulb and couldn't take it off to change it..

thanks

and I know I suck at manual work

Assuming you guys have the same headlights as us, I am pretty sure you do, yes you just turn that black retainer counterclockwise once you have the headlights out. Mine was pretty snug but it will turn off. It doesn't turn much, maybe 1/4-1/2 of a turn maybe. Once that is off the bulb just pulls out, no twisting required. Put back with new bulbs (I got silverstar ultras, very nice) in reverse order. Done.

you have to turn counter clockwise and then pull it out. Look at the white plasitc, it has an arrow for which way to lock.
