Cleaning an engine bay

I see so many clean ass bays on this site then i pop my hood and want to vomit haha, just curious on what products most of you use to clean up your bay to keep it fresh? Any help will be appreciated. thanks

Not much really,a pair of hands, rags, detailer spray, q tips and white diamond metal polish o and patience.

tom, how did you get your oil cap to sit low on your valve cover like that? on my car it stick way out and looks kinda stupid

Take the oil cap off, then remove the riser, its on there tight but twists right off, use a leather glove for a good grip and then replace with your oil cap!

power washer is asking for trouble, I would never take any time of water hose/sprayer to the bay. precision cleaning is alot safer and looks better.

Engine de-greaser, toothbrush, hose, time.

Not the besttttt, but much better than most I see around my area..

i guess everything isnt too bad its just the supercharger and valve cover that look bad on mine haha

It's safer than you think. Stuff in the engine bay is designed to get a bit wet, otherwise every car would have a warning in the manual not to drive it in the rain. The only thing you shouldn't do it hold the washer's nozzle in one spot for too long.

Understood, but imo its just a halfass way of cleaning and still rather use a spray bottle vs a hose.
