Clear coat coming off?

Anyone have any idea what the hell is going on here? This is happening in front of my sun roof on the top of my car... I wax/wash the car, so I dont know if something got spilled up there and I didnt know it. How can I fix this??

not to my knowledge, but the car was built in oct of 2005, I didnt buy it from the dealer until oct 2006, so there is no telling, seems like it was passed around to a few dealers before I got it too.

Any idea how to fix it? I've read that clear coat coming off is a big suck and would require repaint. I would assume I could get the roof repainted then?

prob not, they'll likely say it was due to user error (you or someone else spilled something on it)
but i'd surely try using the warranty

There is a paint warranty for things such as acid rain.

Anyways, yeah, that is classic clear coat failure.

what a huge pain in my ass. Oh well, I need to go in anyways because the chrome layer of the inside door handles is bubbling up. They need to fix that too

Damn. I will definitely put more wax on there after I get it fixed.

^ when he said that, it reminded me of a similar case, this is exactly what that is. saw this happen on a trailblazer. it was the dealer who failed at waxing the car on delivery, which caused this. the dealership ended up footing the bill, but GM might of covered it

I wonder if it happened because of the dealers that passed the car around before I got my hands on it, I bet they didnt wax it at all, and let it sit under the hot freakin sun in texas for a year. Either way, it sucks hard, I didnt want to have to deal with this so soon. Plus it looks like ****
