Cobalt Addiction Urithane Bumber????

Hey guys i was interested in knowing what u guys thought about this topic. I was speaking to the dude from Cobalt addiction online. I was wondering if they were ever going to put that front bumper that they made fro Donna into production. He told me they they will maybe sometime in the summer. So i asked him if they would make it in Urethane or in Fiberglass. He told me fiberglas because its too expensive to 2 make a mold for a Urithane kit. Its about $35,000 as opposed to $8,000 for fiberglass. He told me he would about 100 people to place orders in advance at about $450 just 2 be able to get the 35k to make the mold as well as make a profit on his end. I told him that im sure well over 100 people would love the buy this kit in Urithane. Its about a 4 month process though. Just want 2 see what u guys thought.

i hate fiberglass kits// my last body kit was all fiberglass.. and it is soo hard to adjust to your car.. everyones car is not the same and fitment is ALWAYS an issue and with fiberglass you cant bend it all that much also.. it chips and cracks...

fiberglass does suck.. it cracks in the winter all the time.
If you guys do get this bumper in fiberglass DO NOT have it molded on, because if you hit 1 good dip, pothole, or speedbump, and your expensive molding/ fiberglassing job will crack and/ or fall off.

it's easer to fix fiberglass.. but your be doing it too often .. i had 2 cars 1 with a full fiberglass body kit and one with a front bumper that was all urethane.. the fiberglass one ran into a parking block and tottaled the front end.. $500 front bumper down the *******.. and the urethane one.. hit a curb and just bent back.. had a lil spidering in the paint but wasnt tottaled

So we can all agree to Urethane but it all comes down to paying 450 for one and waiting a few months to get it. I think i would do it. Its worth it 2 me. Its low maintenance and very durable

are we talking just the frt bumper for the entire body kit here..the frt bumper would be worthless without the rest. if you look closely in the pix of her car on the site it basicly a widebody. u would need to put the frt fender flares on to even make it look right...unless hes gonna make it without the flares comming off the frt bumper.....dunno just a thought...but anyhow id go with the urethane.

go have o look at the pix here:

it is a wide body kit.. the rear is anyway.. the front is factory width they just elongate the fender lines with the body kit .. the wide body starts on the back quarter panel and the real bumper... not the front
