IS the cobalt ss/sc bumper 2 seperate parts?

I called the dealer to order the bumper today and they asked if i wanted the upper or lower? What exactly does this mean? I thought the bottom lip came attached to the bumper but maybe im wrong? The bumper has been the biggest pain in the ass to try and replace.

I'm guessing the bumper is just like the 2.4 ss bumper. Just that we have that extra lip on it.

The bumper and the lower lip are two seperate peices. I went to my dealer to get an estimate on how much the SC kit cost for my 2.4. The lip attaches to the actual bumper via clips. If you order just the bumber from the dealer, you won't get the lower lip included. You got to order both.

The rear bumper is NOT the same on a 2.4 as a S/C. If you ever get one of each side by side you can see they are way different.

Almost any aftermarket company that produces a bodykit for the Cobalt SS/SC will sell a one piece rear bumber. However, it might run you more dough than the stock 2 piece bumber.
