Cobalt winglets/splitter
Cobalt winglets/splitter
Not sure on what these are actually called. Ive just known them as a type of splitter or canard. I like the look, and I realize very few, if any, will like it. However I need a final design project for school so I decided to make these for my car for ***** and gigs. If I dont like them I can always keep the off, no harm done. I will be making them from sheet aluminum, and bending the "winglet" part up with one of the machines we have at school. I already made a template that looks pretty decent, but I will be modifying the fin to look similar to the ones on other cars. Heres a few pics on them, and I will post up pics of them once they are on my car. I think ones its lowered it will make it look even more aggresive.

Mine will have a little "lip" that extends in the front similar to this. Its nothing too extreme.

They are also made for evos, stis, and integras. Its more of a "JDM" type of mod thats oh so popular here.
Ill update later since I should have one side cut out and finished monday. Im painting them flat black too, unless I think of something else that may look decent but Ill probably just do the black.

I know but its all I got to work with lol. I wish I could get CF too but no, they will be cut out of sheet aluminum. they still weigh very little, since its only like 1/16" thick. When I had the templet held up against my car it didnt look "weird" or "out of place". Im all about the clean look so if its too out of the ordinary or not fitting perfect its not going on my car. I do agree, it would look much more at home on an SS though.

LMFAO okay. You dont even know what you are talking about but, you can actually judge it when its all said and done. This is for an Engineering class, Im not just randomly cutting **** and fabbing it together without taking the proper measurements of the curve of the front bumper, how much room I have to mount it too and such. Its going to flow.
