Well I have a 06 SS S/C that is Silver, now the factory gauges as you all know are red when light as is the boost gauge. Now every one usually does Silver and Blue (Neons, overlays, gauges, hoses, parts, etc.) But I was thinking the red doesnt look that bad on the inside, I was just curious on how you guys/girls would think a Silver car would look with red accents?

 

As with any other kind of color combo, as long as it's not overdone, it'll be fine. Personally, red inserts with the silver paint is a bit much for me, but I could also see it as being perfectly doable. Accenting, is exactly that..ACCENTING. I've seen accenting go to the point that it becomes dominating, and ruins the whole idea. In the end, the red inserts wouldn't be a bad option, but don't let it start drawing your eye from the car as awhole. When you can't see the whole picture anymore, you're overdoing it.

 

Well I wasn't planning on doing red SS emblems I like the stock ones, I was just throwing out the ideas. I was pretty much just going to do 2 - 12" Neon tubes 1 under the dash by the driver/passenger, and then maybe one under the radio where you could fit a pencil or something. Then like the red vacuum hoses, I wouldnt do to much.

 

silver and red go together just fine... i saw a silver pontiac firehawk with red accents... i wanted to pet it and give it hug

 

negative on the vacumm hoses...I wouldn't put neons in my car at all but if I did I would put 2 under the dash on each side and maybe 2 under the seats but thats it.

 

yeah silver and red would go nice but like its been said it can be over done

 

Silver and Green would be original! Since there is no SS in Green. I think it would look pretty good!
