That is exactly what the full gauge sweep does at startup

yea the first time i saw the twitch it baffled me a little bit... but i believe this is what the OP is looking for

 

nothing in the E67 ECM, with HPT.

 

If you look at the video, when the keys is turned on the DIC says Corvette, then it says By Chevrolet.

That can be programmed to say something different. I don't know if the Cobalt can.

 

Was talkin to a guy with a beemer, he has a ECU unlock to where the RPM needle points to a certain number RPM and that was how he was selecting his tune set-up. like 1 (1000rpm) was a normal tune, 2 was his kill tune, 3 was valet, 4 was diagnostics. it was really neat. When the car was on it would give a little rev going thru all the selections but never holding the actual rev's jus the needle.

im thinking byt had something going on this at one time...

 

first time i saw needle twitches was in a 2001 cadillac STS i loved it

 

i noticed that, tripped me out the other night when i got to work... and how the (analog) boost gauge will(well for me) read 20 vac when i shut it off, and stay there until either i key on, then it resets back to zero, or start the car...

 

My 2012 Malibu has the Gauage sweep also.
I love it to on my 99 Grand Am GT.

 

my 99 grand am Gt didn't have it :/ my g6 gt did though

 

and i thought the cobalt ss was the corvettes little brother.

sounds liek the burger tuning jb4 or something, i installed a few at work, the setup on them is really stupid, id rather plug a computer in and quickly reflash the car. piggyback ecus suck.
