Don't exactly know the laws out there, but here in cali you can have a sun shading device on the front windows with a doctors note, but it has to be removable, not permanent like tint. I'd say check the law cause it might be similar, don't bet on getting out of a tint ticket with a doctor note.

Just FYI I have a 5% prescription too from a family eye doctor due to "photophobia" which is light sensitivity....I have 5% on the sides and 35% windshield

in missouri they wrote a new law in like 2008 that says light sensitivity is no longer a valid reason to issue a "window tint permit" that you have to get from your highway patrol...

i still keep the prescription in my car cause i might be able to get away with it but it is still not technically legal

yeah youll still probably get pulled over. youll just have to prove it all the time. wouldnt be worth it i wouldnt think.
