Daytime Running Lamps

Does anyone know how these are set to operate on th Cobalt? On my old Prizm and on my wife's Aveo, the daytime running lamps are the high beams running at a lower power. I have noticed that on my Cobalt, the parking lights are on during the day, instead of the high beams at a lower power. I'm wondering if it is supposed to be like that, or if I need to take it back to the dealer for repair.

actually its the turn signals that r lit, not the parking lights... like on the camaros and vettes... when u turn on the parking lights, they dim back down to the parking lights... u can turn then off altogether (along with the auto lights) by turning the switch backwards
