DDM Tuning HID Fogs

Hey guys,

Just wondering, are the DDM tuning HID kits plug n play for our fog lights? The correct size is H11 right?

Thanks!

Yes they are, i have a H11 kit in my ZX6R and the wiring harness should match a cobalt. However you might have to do what me and other people with ZX6R's had to do. If you plug it in and they dont turn on, the wire that runs from the bulb to the ballast, you have to break the plastic clips off and turn the plug backwards.

Might not be as simple as you're thinking. Especially if you've never done it before. Check out DDM's H11 install guide man. Go from there.

where did you guys mount the balasts for the fog lights? is there room under the headlight brackets for two balasts (assuming you have projectors and fog hids) or did you mount else where?

It is as simple as he is thinking, like someone already said, pull old bulb out. Connect the firing harness to the ballast and new bulb, put new bulb in. Zap Strap or use double sided tape to mount the ballast.

If you guys are looking at the same one i have then its easy. Heres mine, not sure if there is any slimmer then this so i think its the same one.

I got the H11 6000k fogs. Didn't get the slim kit, but i read a How-To on the site about the install, seems pretty basic...

Should def be a big upgrade from stock. Mine was $59 shipped to my door via USPS. When i get new headlights i'll most def get a HID kit for them from DDM, can't beat it, plus the warranty.

I'd probably get 6000k for my headlights too, i like the bright white.

Well if u went 6000k for fogs u gotta get the same for headlights, otherwise its going to look fucked. Heres what 8000k looks like...still white but a hint of blue.

Yea i figured haha. I wanted to stay away from the blueish tint, but i think the bright white looks good. I replaced my stock bulbs with some whiter ones and love it, so i can only imagine how much better these would look. Hopefully shipping doesn't take too long lol.

Those look good though!

The only real hard part is gonna be if the lights don't turn on right away. Most of us that have done this before know what to do and look for to fix this. Those who have never messed with HID lights probably could figure it out, although they might need a little more help.

They are pretty easy to put in. Shouldn't be a problem for any first timer.

The dual in/dual out harness is a relay harness. Basically instead of having two separate relays it takes both signals in and puts power to both ballasts, hence dual in/dual out.

I just got the regular harness and it works fine.

Does the DDM kit plug in to the OEM H11 connector with an actual H11 plug or do you shove the spade ends in to it? My original kit in my bike from Visionbulbs (crappy vendor and I think they are still here under another name so beware) was labelled as plug and play and required me to shove spade connectors in to my bike's harness and that didn't sit well with me after being told otherwise.
