diff between wax and polish?

diff between wax and polish?

just as the title says, could i use one or the other? if i used the polish after the wax will it make my paint shine more? i just dont know the differance between the two.

Polish is an abrasive that actually smooths your clearcoat somewhat (higher grit than sandpaper for the most part). Wax is used to coat and smooth the surface. You can use both, but polish first and then wax.

Be carefull in what polishes you use, buffing pads, and rotary tools that you use because you can eat through your paint pretty quick if you are not carefull. The best method with polishes is to take your time and go slow.

ok well i wash my car first a couple times, and then claybar it and then i finish it off with wax. now if i did wash, claybar, polish and then wax would i notice a differance because i used the polish or no? and this would all be done by hand.

Polish makes it shine and the wax seals in the shine.
