ebay antenna

Hey, I am installing the 13" eurostyle antenna. I took the old antenna off, but do I have to take the entire thing out from the trunk as well? Because it wont fit on the same screw that the original was on.

It doesn't fit that screw!! Thats why I am asking if I need to take that screw out and replace it with on of the adapter screws. Everyone else is saying it just fits, then why do they ship with adapters?????

I guess I will have to do that. I took the entire antenna out and there is no where for the adapters to "adapt". I must have been shipped the wrong one. Thanks for your help though!

You can buy them from Canadian Tire for $10. Look for a 13" Rubber Mast or something. Don't drill if you don't have to.

Actually the BEST solution I've seen so far is to get a body shop to shave that **** completely. IF you still want to listen to the radio (I have XM so I'm going to skip this part) you can get a small powered bi-pole antenna that mounts to the inside of your back window. That's about as sleek as you're going to get.

Hey,

Don't mind the useless comments... happened to me also.

The deal is that with the late '06 models, GM changed the thread size of the antenna mast (from 6mm to 7mm if I remember correctly). I assume you're talking about the short rubber AntennaX ebay model. It was supposed to be a direct screw on. AntennaX is in the process of making the updated version.

AntennaX will refund you if you ship it back.

Have a good one.
