eyelid installation

ok so i'm like pretty good with decals and installing little **** like these eyelids, but i've been seein some pics on this site of some of your cars where it looks like the eyelids are like on the inside of the headlight...is that jsut how it looks or did u guys install them underneath...i def need help i want these to look nice

im not positive but i would be willing to say that everyone put theirs on the outside, that is how i did mine

yeh i know i thought the same thing then i forgget who it was on this site i saw someones car ont his site and you could like see the clear part of the headlight like above the eyelid, it looked clean as hell but prolly hard as hell to do

mine are painted. I would have to say... if someone would install them on the inside... thats way more work that they caused themselves and also, I really dont think it would look right cuz you would be able to tell.

I painted the inside of my headlights but that was on the reflective part. It is a super pain in the ass to get them apart. My advice would be to just do them on the outside.

yeh im gonan put them on the outside...in wanted to eventually paint the reflective part of the headlight too i love that look but i would imagine it would be a pain in the ass...i got this shop here where i go to school that does all kinds of custom work for a reasonable price...i might take it to them for that

what ever you do though, make sure you dont make it so that it makes your car look sleepy, I think that looks terrible. I think that they way mine were done, it looks mean as hell. But, thats just my opinion.

yeh those look good man, i got them int he mail yesterday i wish i didnt have work in like an hour i'd put them on...did u paint the inside of your lights or wou buy em like that

ya good luck putting them on... there are some lines on the lense of the headlight that make it easier to line up striaght... ya i painted the inside myself

nope it was a piece of cake... honestly i wish i knew it was that easy, i would have done it long ago. taping kinda sucks but depending on the style you like depends on how much taping you will have to do...

yeah i hear ya..im glad you didnt realize how easy it was cuz that makes me less intimidated about doing it lol...when i come around to doing it i might get back at you for some suggestions and ****...i wanna do it now but im flying home from school for spring break and im gonna be away from the balt for a week but ill get back atcha

Anyone know any sites that sell custom fit eyelids?

Also how do they hold up? Will I have to replace them yearly? (just wondering cause I had to repaint my front bowtie)

^^^ i think you were talkin about me... and it either came off my door or trunk

it cost me about 350 for the hid/projector setup and all the wiring, fuses, and paints

nah they feel pretty well worth the 23 bucks i paid for them...i think they'll hold up...but im flying home from school for a week so ima get you some pics when i get back to the balt to install them next week
