Eyelids?

Anyone know where to get these? (NOT on Ebay, I mean)

Also, if anyone has a black cobalt with pics of these, post em!

I got some from Auto Trim Design. Went to go but them on and I couldn't get the lines to match up. I must of spent like 20 minutes just trying to do that. Once I got close and stepped back it looked horrible so I just ripped them off. You're probably better off going to a shop that does custom vinyl work.

I made a set of victory red eyelids on my cobalt out of vinyl. Nobody Makes full eyelids yet so you'd have to make them yourself.

im going to make eyelids too, but first im going to do the headlight mod (open them and paint them) I have a black LT, so it will have black headlights, black eyelids, 5% tint in the back, 20% in the front.

Car looks awesome....I'd be curious to know how you did the grille as well. Any pics of the back of the car?

Seriously....nice work.

i'll snap a few pics of the back of the car next time it's clean....I didn't do anything to the back except paint the factory plastic grills silver to match the front, and the black bowtie.

I love that look!

Would anyone happen to have a template for those vinyl decals? I can get them cut for free, I just need a template, or at least an idea on how to create the template.

that is asking for trouble around here...you can get away with 35 all around, I doubt 5% back and 20% up front....thats pushing it IMO

I personally dont like the vinyl eyelids they just look too cheap. I perfer some that are made out of a tick matterial. Vinyl seems to get air bubbles in it all even if you try the hardest not too. It looks ok from a distance but when u get close it looks bad IMO. Id rather just use some spray paint on them. However i did see some CF ones on cobalt-addiction.com Anyone buy these they say u just use silicone or double face tape to keep them on but they are pretty expensive

Vinyl won't get air bubbles if you know how to do it right. It just takes patience and a little skill. AND it's cheap if you know where to get it.

yea i use to work at a vinyl shop and the surface has to be extremely clean and for minimum bubbles you have to put it on dry (without soap and water) and even then you can sometimes get bubbles

thats good....you can get away with it then. They shouldn't give you a hard time. I'm going to register mine in Florida sometime in the future and get the tint darker myself.
