A few blackout pics

Blacked out my friend's tail lights the other day and thought I'd post a couple of pics of it.

yeah, the best clear i've found besides automotive clearcoat from an airbrush is duplicolor: perfect match.

i would defintely tint it if you can. going with someone who will spray automotive clear is the best thing, but it does more than makes it shiny, you can also wax your tails when you do this.

well when i first did this i just used a spray can clear coat then i had to redo them cause it was to dark but i never put clear coat on them this time dont look THAT BAD but its not a perfect look either. so maybe ill look into that so def. use a spray gun for the clear

you can use a rattle can. that's what i did with this, it's just better if you use auto clear imo. i had my cousin shane do mine and they're shinier than these by far and will probably hold up longer too.

was it a milky color? if so it could be due to humidity or your coats are too heavy. that's why i liked that duplicolor: perfect match. that was one heavy coat only on those G5 tails.
