fiberglass cutting

i have a cobalt ls and the front bumper has the three billet fiberglass grilles on the bottom... as well as the grill right below the hood. I'm planning on cutting out the three fiberglass grilles and replacing them with grille mesh. any tips on cutting the fiberglass??

Yes, first tip: It's plastic.

The OEM bumper is urethane, you can cut it with a knife.

Safest bet is get a saw blade for cutting plastic and go slowly, like one for PVC pipes or similar. You can always cut more, but you can't undo a cut.

Cut it close, then sand it flush, so you don't take too much.
