Hey guys. I finally got all my supplies in to get started on my new project. I found a really good supplier through a contact of mine and I finally have some time to begin. Just yesterday I started a test piece in order to get more familiar with CF and how it flows etc. I'm a very hands person and it helps me figure out things. My test subject was my cobalt ash tray cub holder thing lol. I wanted to wrap the lid in CF because I thought it would be a great start. Here's what it looks like right now. It still is not finished because it needs a few more coats but it looks pretty dam good lol. ALSO! This piece when finished is going to be sold in the parts for sale section proceeds to the site.

actual cf or cf vinyl? that looks a bit shiney to be actual cf, no? unless you clearcoated it as well *shrug*

hahah have u ever seen vinyl shine like that lo? but no itz actual carbon fiber, that's a pic i took with the cell basically right after applying a second coat....i assure you it's real. I'm gonnga apply another coat soon. What do u think of it?

 

pretty sweet, where'd u get it? any idea how somebody would get CF in "colors" like w/ a blueish weave to it?

itz very hard to get now because there is a shortage...it's because of AirBus and the Military
