it is illegal im sure in all states to have forward facing flashing red bulbs... so youll get a ticket, and maybe an inpersonating emergeny vehical charge if the cop is a real dick

if you got amber lenes in your headlights your car was probably built before lordstown worked thru there stock of headlights w/ the amber inserts. even if it was an '07 there not going to waste backstock parts

no they can be removed...it just pops out when you disassemble your headlights
follow these directions to get them apart:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-paint-your-headlights-lots-pics-56k-mabye-16874/

i suggest baking them in the oven for 20min at 150* to 200*... pull them apart, but dont scrape any of the sealent of like it says leaving it all there, paint em if you want since there already apart, to put them back together. reheat the pieces in the oven, quickly run a bead of AVS gasket maker in the grove where the outer lens goes after you heat em and then stick em back together.

Its alot of work just to get the lens' out, but if you are going to paint them too then its no issue to get the lens' out...

here is what they look like w/out the lens & painted:

What looks nice is Silverstars Turn signal bulbs, the one with that blue tint on the outside. They also have a better color to them when lit.

I put some clear light as my turn signals.

The cop stopped me and said that they wern't legal but in Ontario the law is, you cannot have any blinking lights in the front or rear that is Blue or Red.

So basically he just told me to watch out....he was cool and all but he also said to try not to push it, because some cops will ticket no matter.

I had blue LED's on once as my signal and I got pulled over in less than 20 minutes...

Anyways, here is a little picture for you.
