functional CF hood-performance-problem ?'s

Whats up guys,

What I want is a hood similiar if not the invader 2 hood as seen on this site, 2nd hood down.

http://cobalt-addiction.com/exterior.htm

The only reason I want it is basically for looks. First question, When it says funtional that means you have to cut the bottom of the hood out right?

(for the next 2 questions when I say if not, I mean if the hood is functional and air is able to get in without any cutting)

Another questions is if not, would I be taking a risk of hurting something with the hood being functional? EX. water leaking through it and getting into something.

And another if not, could I expect any hp gains because of engine staying cooler?

Thanks in advance guys.

1. you shouldnt have to cut it

2. On that site it says comes with water channel. so if it loos like it is goin to rain then just slap that on and you will be ok.

3. It would be more of not losing hp. Heat soak kills hp numbers and this hood should help prevent it.

dont bank on the water channel

two of us got the hood and didnt get the water channel. Granted, anomolous got it from cobalt addiction, so it might be an add on piece but mine came from VISracing and i didnt get the water channel

The hood is already cut out. You can see the supercharger through the cut outs. And its rained here and the only thing getting wet is the supercharger.. I do have a little conern with that.. but it seems to be ok
