Gen 4 Cut-off/useless low beams?
Gen 4 Cut-off/useless low beams?
Hey,
Searched for a bit and couldn't find anything specifically related to my problem...
I just bought some new gen 4 ccfl halo's and put some sylvania H1 (apparently very bright) bulbs in the low and high beams.
Anyways, on the low beams i cant see anything past like...10 yards in front of me...they are much worse than my older headlights and older bulbs and there seems to be a weird cut off that would affect this.
Any help/advice?

i thought the Gen4s didn't have Halos... but I say jus aim em up a lil bit an see if that helps.. I remember I got some silvania silver star ones(somethin like that) a couple months after I had first got my car an i had the same problems so I jus put the stock ones back in
Gen 4 lights have no halos and they use H7 bulbs anyway. The actual headlights pictured above are gen 3 lights but they only come with LED halos unless they've been modded. Gen 3s use H1 bulbs. Sometimes it's a bit hard to get the bulb seated properly on gen 3s because the bulb opening is a bit tight so the bulb doesn't go in all the way. Try checking the bulb and the hole and make sure the bulb is inserted fully. If the source of light within the projector is in the wrong spot it won't focus the light worth a crap and you won't see anything beyond the nose of your car. If the bulb doesn't go in all the way even a little you may have to file down the opening so that it gives the bulb enough clearance.

There are too many its confusing.
I'll check everything tomorrow and get back, thanks for everyone's input!
