Question Gen 4 headlight issues

So I bought some Gen 4's on ebay about a month ago. After I put them in, I saw stress cracks on the inside of the lens on the passenger side only. Contacted the seller, sent it back and got a new one. Before I put the new one in, I took off the front bumper and made sure everything was lined up right. I've been checking the lense all this week and haven't seen any cracks until today. The passenger headlight is cracked again on the inside. Anyone have any ideas as to what's causing this?

I'm probably gonna get stock lenses and put them on. It's only the passenger side, not the driver side. Weird.

Thus why ebay projectors are crap..Are you running halogens? the heat may be the issue.

no issues with mine, you're the first i've heard with them cracking. Seems odd it has been the passenger side both times, maybe something is out of line.

Seems like the bulbs that come in them (halogens) run hot as do most halogen bulbs and is causing the issue. But im sure others are fine. Hit and miss.

RMA them again and try using HID's in the low.

Do you have to force them in the passenger side?

I think there's an issue with my car. The cracks aren't from the bulbs. If it was the bulbs, then the lenses would be burned instead of cracked. Would a headlight bucket issue cause this?

Try running a cheap 35w hid kit in there to see if that makes a difference. Maybe the halogens are screwing it up even though they shouldn't.
Honestly, I don't understand how this can happen in the first place. It's beyond me. I still plan on buying the 4th gen projectors though since I already have an H7 hid kit.

Did you send it back & get a new one to see if it happens again?

I got 4th gens on mine for a week now and haven't experience anything wrong with them, other they look bit smaller than OEM's.

Let us know how that goes. Which vendor did you get them from on Ebay? If you don't mind me asking.

You shouldn't have to force them into place. Try adjusting the headlight bracket and seeing if that makes them go in a bit easier. Just loosen the bolts for the bracket (There are a few, you'll need to remove the light), move the bracket a bit, then tighten down.
