BTW, i got my second set in and installed with HID's right away and so far no cracks. So im voting heat from the stock halogen bulbs is whats doing it

So do any of these "cracks" physically compromise the lens, leading to moisture? Or is it more just a look issue?

I'm putting clear bra 3M vinyl on my Gen 4's.......FINGERS CROSSED it'll help haha

Hey haven't been on in a while...but I've got both sets of 4th gens (chrome and black housing) and I was one of the first couple people to get them when they came out...mine have been through a rough winter and many miles and I have had zero issues with either set. Just thought I'd post my experiences.

Not a flaw they are just really hard to get in. take all the black push clip things so you can pull the bumper a off a little, then you just have to take you time. if it doesnt fit right you probably dont have both tabs in right.

i mean you probably could but thats just too much haha. get someone to help you and hold the bumper up. take you time guiding in the tabs on the bottom of the headlight.

Looks like Glare to me. I don't have it in my Gen 1's. You might also try to look around for the "Squirrel Finder" fix. Apparently the projector shields have something in them that leaks light to allow you to see the street signs above your cutoff line. I think the fix was taping over the slit with aluminum ducting tape.

update on my set which i've had since january this year. Passenger side has begun to start flaking/cracking on the top right above the high beam area. Guess they aren't top quality, but it is not that noticeable...yet. Been running 8000k HID in them from day 1. Probably starting cracking due to the crazy heat wave and me parking outside 100% of the time in this 100+ degree weather daily.

I'm looking to get these, hope I don't get this problem. My plan is to run 6k or 8k right from the start. Haven't decided on which yet though
