Yea mine had that yellow tint as well when i had mine installed, it was driverside as well. Yes i had to send orginals back but they wont get there till weds so i hope by the 11th or the 14th i should have replacements by then. Yes the only thing that did bother me was the stress cracks after week n a half after installin them. I might take pictures so we have a how to but im not the best at mechnical stuff but im sure u have to see in person to understand how the wiring goes. Oh and to the people that mount the ballast under the head light bracket does it stay pretty dry there? doesnt seem like it would be all that dry and also taped to the back side of the bumper doesnt see like it would stay dry.

^ I don't think it really matters where you mount the ballasts because they are supposed to be waterproof.

mine has a bit of yellow above the cut off, you dont notice it when driving or anything, both sets did it, really doesnt bother me.

the fact that almost every set does it and does it on the same side, tells me there might be a reason for it.

Yeah it just bugs me cause even when I drive behind my friend he says its annoying because one looks yellow when I hit a bump or from an angle

Stupid Question Alert:

did you have to buy 2 sets of HID kits? like one for the highs and one for the lows?

Yes if you want Hi and Lo HID's. But remember the Hi's dont have a projector, it would be straight HID light coming out of that, which would be blinding. Just use it carefully!

I wouldnt suggest it. HIDs need a few seconds to power up, so its not really worth it. I would put HIDs in the lows and leave halogens in the highs.

Okay I've read all 20 pages and still have a quick question..

On ebay, ive seen pics of the gen 4's with lights already installed in them and some without..
Do lights come pre-installed in all of them?

Also, could I just buy h7 bulbs from DDM and use them with the gen 4's without buying anything special?

my gen 4s came with factory bulbs installed I dont recommend running the factory lowbeams. So yes they come preinstalled.

On your second questions.

Yes all you need is a ddm h7 35 watt kit of your choice of color. I recommend this as well. Nothing else is needed its all plug and play. All you will need for installation is a 10mm socket a knife and a phillips screw driver (to adjust the height on the headlights its a phillips gear on the back of the lights). The knife is to cut a small hole in the rubber grommet which gives you access to the low beam bulbs. you cut a hole and route the wires through the hole. once you see it trust me its self explanatory.

to those who have had these lights a few months, how are they holding up? i have the third gen's, and the lens are peeling and are just generally crappy looking at the top of the lights. was thinking about getting these, as they look nicer than the third gen's, and the projectors seem to be much higher quality. just wondering about how reliable they are.

well I have a small stress crack, but hasn't been expanding for 2 months. Thinking because it had something to deal with the OEM H7's running within 2 weeks, until I gotten my HID's from DDM Tuning. Damn it... No biggie. Been enjoying mine so far. When you do your rubber gourmets after you put your HIDs in make sure you use electrical tape around it or some black duck tape so it doesn't come loose, because it gets really annoying pops open by itself and later have moisture entering in and fog up inside.

what they look like now

here is the stress crack, but you can barely see it

I had mine for a couple of months and they're holding up very good. No stress cracks or condensation.

Does anybody have an unusually big gap between the top of the light and the hood? (pass. side)

Do I need to adjust my headlight bucket, or just say screw it....

Yeah the gap at the top is worse than factory lights.... though the gap at the bottom is perfect

The best way to find them all on ebay is to search for Cobalt depo projector.. then after u search, click the box under the search bar for "include title and description" and then search again

painted a set of Gen 4's, but i think you all can see what i forgot to do at 1 in the morning last night. tape off the high beam reflector lol! I taped up the lens for the lowbeam but didnt pay no attention to the high beam reflector. I think itll be alright though, think it looks badass. These are for Efactor that im doing for him. I didnt paint over the factory gloss black finish, it has such a nice factory finish i wouldnt dare spray bomb over that, i touched up some areas that were messed up when Efactor attempted to remove lenses with flathead and destroyed the inside plastic lol. But there lookin pretty sexy. Wetsanding and buffing some Gen 2 lenses I have and then installing them on these since his had stress cracks. Gen 2 lenses dont get stress cracks. They have OEM like lenses without the tint, but they do have a tendency to peel. After wetsanding and buffing they look real nice though. I dont believe the highbeam will be a big deal as high beam bulbs are exposed. We'll see
