quick question, I have a stock headlight HID bi-xenon kit installed currently but just purchased the gen 4's. Would I be able to just buy a H7 replacement bulb set and hook it into my current setup? It should be all the same equipment just different bulbs right.

Here is an example of the H7 bulb.
the blue and black wires at the top left...where would those connect to?

I suppose this answers my question already. I just like to be prepared.

So i have the gen 4's installed with vvme 6000k kit and I noticed the cut off is nice but i can see that yellowish spot on the hotspots but its worse than that. I turn off the lights and look inside the projector itself from the front and notice the cut off plate looks like it has been chewed and mangled...it maintains the shape it should but has chips and stuff out of it and they are noticable and apparent when i the lights are on. I will take pictures soon

Does anyone have the original "depo" box that these headlights came in? If so can you post the depo part #? Thanks

they want 125 dollars first, then they will send me a new light and the;ll refund me when they get my bad light.
i have no stock harness's so i cant put them back in and mail this one back. so im like screwed.

that is why you don't go with aftermarketk headlights because they will always get these problems.

i know i have had gen 1 and now gen 4. i want retros but i really cant afford to spend the money on them.
i want them to send me a replacement and ill send the bad one out and all but they dont seem to want to. im NOT sending them 125 bux bc they will have it for 4 weeks and ill get no refund or a light as a nother member stated.
i emailed depo and nothing.
i wish when i got these things that i sealed them up. but i didnt think about it. i would put my bstock lights back in but i sold my stock harness's and my buddy who has these wont let me even borow his unused harness so i could do so
im so fed up

my headlights only condensed after i powerwashed the car in cold cold winter. havent had a problem at all since then.

and to the leaky guy: do you have hid's? your grommet/hole in the rear seal might be leaking. dont be so quick to blame the lights if you havent checked that out

does depo have a website (not an e-bay link or vendor link)? I googled it and can't seem to find one.

anyone know if I could maybe change out the cutoff plate inside the projector itself...thats the only problem I have with mine. I would hate to spend the money for retros if this was a simple fix.

Sounds like common business. If you were selling an item at that price and i said hey, send me a new headlights and i promise ill send the old ones back. you would have no issue sending out a brand new headlight in hopes i would send you the old ones? In this world 60% of people wouldnt and just would rip them off. I do the same thing with HIDs. I need a picture with the broken bulb or ballast with the lead/harness cut off at the ends and a peice of paper with your email on it so i know its non working and also know its not some random pic off the internet. I do not take peoples word over the interwebs. Thats silly

Finally found their website. Knew there had to be one out there somewhere:

http://www.depo.com.tw/

New product release with the Cobalt Headlights in them (on page 5 in the .pdf):

I think im gonna do a project one of these weekends where I modify my cutoff plates...there is that stupid yellow glare about the driver side and a horrible purple looking one above the passenger side. I read a big how-to for a BMW DEPO brand projector with the same issue and it turned out great. I will post progress and results for sure.

The Gen 4s or the HIDs?

The Gen 4s are all about the same price...some vendors are more expensive than others, but for the most part they are all about the same. I went with Modern Performance when I got mine. They have theirs listed for $185 (http://www.modernperformance.com/dep...lt-p-2096.html). This was actually about the same as the cheapest on eBay.

As for the HIDs, I went with the DDM Slim Kit...can't beat a HID kit for $40! and they are reputable! (http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/101/)
