gen 4 projectors
Just for an update from me, still waiting for the replacement headlight from the ebay memeber. I would not recomend imv1 anymore. At first they seemed very helpful, now I can never get a straight answer out of them and they have had my money and my defective headlight for 3 weeks. They said they shipped the replacement out 3 weeks ago and still havent got it. They wont even provide me a tracking number when I ask. I'm getting very impatient here!
End rant!
End rant!
Though I was told Depo is port of Certifit (sortafit). So we have a certifit dealer in town if thats the case I might see if they will swap them out.
^then your problem is fixed and OEM lenses have a light shade of tint on them so they will look nicer. Iv had the same OEM lenses on 3 different headlights now. They are beautiful and RUGGED. They been in my oven like 10x.
That's good. I just need someone to do them for me. I don't have the patients to do it myself. I was also thinking about painting the housing silver
I want to do the OEM lenses but I hate those lines that separate the turn signals from the beams on the stock lights. It messes up the beams from the projectors.
didnt really mess mine up on my gen 3's

But honestly if you pick up a headlight lense repair kit from autozone, i bet you can wetsand them off

omfg dont even get me started on 2nd gen's. I hate those things. i dont think it was the lense as much as the horrible projector in the 2nd gens. Those headlights are terrible
They said if anything happens they'll send out a replacement.
Tell me about it. I'm afraid to even sell mine to anyone because the cutoff is so terrible.

Which brings me to my next question. Again with my gen 4s, the driver side has a yellowish tint around the cutoff/hot spot area, while the right side is blue. Its not the hids, bulbs, or ballasts because I tried switching them. I even put the driver side headlight on passenger side to see and that yellow tint followed it. So I sent for replacements and the new ones do the same damn thing. Any suggestions, I'm stumped?
If I would've read this a few hours ago I could have, I just got my replacements in.

but here...
1#pull old headlight off.
2# mount ballasts in a place thats fairly dry and within reach of the wires.
3# pull the bulb out and put in the hid bulb.
4# cut the grommet and route the wires through it.
5# plug the connectors in and plug the exposed clips into the H7 plug that was on the original lowbeam connector.
If you really need a walk through I can take pictures when my ballast comes back. But honestly you only need 4 things to put these things in...
alcohol and rag (to clean the spot for the double sided tape to mount the ballast)
a knife (to cut a whole in the grommet)
and a 10mm socket/ratchet
Not to be mean but if you get it and cant figure it out then modifying cars isnt for you. You will see what I mean when you get all of the stuff in. The connectors will only fit one way.

Ive also noticed a yellow line between the cutoff and the hid. Doesnt truly bother me though. The stress cracks are the bad part for me.

the only thing that sucks about HID's is its a project if you ever wanna remove your headlight again since now the HID bulb wires run underneath the headlight bracket, so i have to remove the headlight bracket at the same time as the headlight to disconnect the wiring harness from the ballast. Or remove the HID bulb while removing the headlight. PITA.

I just installed my Gen4's today with a ddm 6000k kit. I never noticed any yellow.
