hids. all i had to do was just [cut] out [a hole for the grommet in] the seal on the back of the headlights. i only thought i was going to have a hard time because the h7 plug is inside the housing and i wasnt sure how the hid wires would be routed. but they are routed how they need to be so this is already taken care of. lmao horrible wording ^^ .

How is the h7 bulb sealed if you removed the cover on back. It has no protection from water. Thats why they routed the wires the way they did through a gromet and inside the housing to the lightbulb. I'm thinking you will have problems later on. I thought about doing what you did but changed my mind.

i dont know why, but the "cut" is out of that sentence. i just cut a nickle sized hole in the back seal for the grommet to sit in the seal. i didnt just remove it ha ha

and they are 35w 6000k hids

they're very blue for 6ks maybe it's just your camera or they haven't warmed up when you took the second pic

Did you by chance do a how-to style write up for what you did? Or could you take pictures of the final project (back of the light) to show what you did to the gromet and stuff?

Any info is greatly appreaciated.

there is a light on above the garage... ha ha

as for a how to, its really not hard. if you have it in front of you, you should see what needs to be done. unless you have dyslexia or some ****

i cut a hole in the back of my 2nd gens to get the wires in. its really ****** easy. just 2 wires from the HID's need to connect to the bulb. theres a rubber seal. hmm, how can i get 2 wires in the back of the light. cut a hole, pop em in, whala. no water leaks. but if your freaking out, then put clear silicone over it or some electrical tape

yeah all you have to do is cut as hole on the gromet to feed the bulb through

the grommets on these arent cheap either they feel a lot better. they also fit alot better. and wont come off quicker like the gen 1

stock headlights painted black > all these ebay headlights imo. OEM is better in all aspects.
