Gosh im so sick of people yanking my interior passenger side Door handle when they get out of my car! Its sad people just cant wait until unlock the door to get out. Now my crome handle is a little loose and makes a clicking noise when its used. Do you ss/sc owners have black interior handles? I was thinking about getting black ones down the road because I have black interior with leather seats...Its just about the only thing thats crome inside anyway

 

My driver side door handle also clicks.. happened about 1 week after I got my car. I didn't do anything to it to make it click.. I was just opening the door like normal.

 

That sucks... I need to call Gm also about my broken sunroof. First it was the trim peice to go then the button breaks! LoL ..... I just hope they dont void my warrenty for Debaging the rear logo and taking the door strips off. oops I also removed the front grill

The normal Ls's have the front grill the same color of the car. But mine had a Crome front peice that broke off so easy when I went to see if it could be removed.....So i dunno maybe i will just tell em it broke and i need it replaced?

 

SS/SC has the chrome handles as well, along with all the nasty fingerprints that get on them too.

 

why would changing body appearance void a warranty/

I know exactly what you guys are talking about. My dealership said some rod was broken and needed to be replaced. We did that and the clicking is gone.

 

my handles do it to i yell at my gf every nite its her fault she doesnt care, she also chips the silver paint thats on the door arm rest with her nails wtf it makes me so made u pay so much money to keep something, and no matter hard try to keep it nice it doesnt happend because no one else care cuz they're not paying for it

 

I hate it too, its like

"WHOA WHOA WHOA there killer! Wait until I unlock the doors before you start ripping my handles off!!"

 

My Dad yanked on the door handle so hard (using 2 hands) that something inside the door broke/bent (had to use outside handle for awhile). It was fixed under warranty (didn't tell them how it happend). I don't have power locks though. He is just used to pulling the door handle which unlocks the door in his Ford.

 

OMG Pookie! I know exactly what you mean about the grey armrest trim that gets scraped... Maybe we should get it painted

 

i got the same problem on passenger side door handle with the click, getting it fixed soon, when my new shifter comes in to be replace, the shift pattern fell off!

 

I'd make her ass walk! I would give her one warning and then that is it. I don't care where I am, I would stop the car and unlock the door. I know really insensative, but I take great pride in my possesions.

If she can't respect your stuff, then she doesn't respect you.

EDIT: That is if she is doing it on purpose.

 

Very true .....This gurl i was seeing was a Vol firefighter ---I would pick her up and she would throw her gear in my trunk like it was a toy. And oh boy would she slam my door so hard! That pissed me off so much I yelled at her and she started crying saying I like My cobalt more then her..... Ok its true

 

now does the interior door handle just make a small click when pulling on it.. mine has done that forever but i think it's normal?? Also today my driver outside door handle has starting making a clicking sound when opening it.. I don't know if it's a problem or it just needs some lube, it works fine just makes a noise.

 

I hate when people slam my passenger door liek wtf.

My daughter yanks on the passenger doorhandle with 2 hands, but she is 4 and thats the only way she can open it lol.

 

Its a problem, i took it to the dealership. they are ordering the parts, it is for my driver's side interior door handle, the sunroof switch console falls off and my shift pattern fell off and now the screw underneath burns my hand.

i have the LS basic, and yahp the chrome handles are in all of our cars. again i also agree with the ppl slamming my passenger door like WTF. haahah and to stevo... WTF? screw burns?? what could that possibly be from? never heard of that... huh good luck

 

Yeah well if you take the shift pattert off (its just a plastic part with 3 clips) there is a screw underneath. And in the az heat it heats up to a billion degrees and burns my hand.

im kinda glad they engraved the shift pattern to the ls' and no idiot reverse lever.. although easily removed. ahhaah i had it in my cav.
