the only ones ive really heard of having problems are the gen II ones (that stupid light bar burns out). As long at u put HID's in instead of the OEM halogen bulbs u wont get the cracking. i left the original bulbs in and right around the 3 month mark the lenses started to crack from the heat.

All "halo" projectors have problems. But you might get the kit that actually works. Who knows.

And for the "conversion" kit, are you talking about the HID's? If so, most are just plug n play

Yeah man...it all depends on if you're lucky or not. Most of the projectors come from China. Some people get lucky and get some that last a long time, others don't. If you get projectors, make sure to get HIDs. They run much cooler and will keep your lenses from cracking...from light heat anyways. I bought 2nd generations and a HID kit off eBay and spent $250 total. I feel like it's well worth it because it not only makes your car look better, but HIDs are much safer.

bought a set of 2nd gen's off ebay. havent had any problems yet. been around 6 months and numerous snow storms/ ice storms, and theyve held up great. Its pretty hit or miss with the ebay stuff though, some can be graet quality and others can be absolutley crap.

They all come from the same place basically. Its like a gamble when you go into the aftermarket business. IMO

Just bought a set of 3rd gen halo projectors in black on ebay. They should be here this week. Will see how lucky I get. They look hot in the picture.
