has anyone thought of this..cobalt scrape plates?

as i was sitting here thinking about painting and powder coating some peices on my car i was wondering a way to keep them looking nice without all the scrapes and scuffs. then i thought about well even if i did keep it clean and tried to stop some of the rocks by slowing down what about when i get the coils that i want and put them on and i go to church where the drive way has like a huge dip my car is gonna always scrape going in and coming out. then it hit me what if someone designed a metal plate (painted any color you want) and it would fit under your bumpers front and back maybe with rivits or something and instead of your car taking the scrape the plate would and it would continue to look nice and your bumper would be saved from road rash.

i know i cant be the only one whos thought of this so anyone have any ideas on where this might be sold?

thats a good idea, but if you hit something hard enough, the metal might crack the bumper, just think of all the stress the rest of the bumper will be under when you hit something, and the metal peice is moving the whole bumper, and not flexing.

i mean i guess it wouldnt really be metal but some kind of either reinforced plastic or something

theres not too many non-lowered cobalts on the road and other cars too so theres gotta be a way for us to lower our cars and have some peice of mind about the bottom of the bumper not being all dinged when we enter parking lots.

man im lowered on sportlines, and i scrape maybe once a month if that. you just gotta learn how to drive it, which isnt very hard, and the scrape guard by the intercooler hits b4 your bumper

^Well that will do it. look at twisted's car, the current car of the month. He has carbon fiber scrape guards for the sole purpose to protect his bumper since its 2" off the ground

thats actually not a scrape guard, its a wind deflector for your radiator to deflect cool air going underneath the car up to the radiator
