head light smoke..
head light smoke..
Anyone ever tried to niteshade their headlights?? i'm thinking about doing mine tomarrow.. and cutting my headlight covers into eyelids, becuz theyre the biggest pieces of **** you can ever waste 75 bucks on.. .the little velcro pads that come with them either dont stick to the headlight worth ****, or dont stick to the actual cover...
anyways...
anyways...

I just recently bought these.... the lens is an actual smoked plastic. It wont matter if you **** is dark or not, if you drop at least 4000k HID's you wont know a difference! I wouldn't night shade them though, unless you are some bad ass rattle can spray dude. I would go with a dark headlight cover
There's some pics of a few guys who have tinted their headlights here - http://www.taillighttinting.com/tintgallery.html

Thought bout doing this to mine, did my tail lights, dark but light shows thru. Headlights are def. brighter than tail. If you screw them up i have 2 pairs of stock headlights if you want to buy a set.
it'll be fine, i used to drive with tthe headlight covers on at nite and more light gets through these than the light covers
I think they turned out great!!!!

and to the OP: Waaaaaayyyy too dark man. You could have gone with a "tinted" look instead of a "5% tinted" look lol
those are bad ass, as I had a few sets of them... and all the lenses melted. The bulb that comes with it, replacement sylvania bulbs, and even HIDs (which are much cooler to the touch) made the lens deform. another member on here had the same problems.... just a fair warning.

Not bad, I woulda suggested you do them like my headlights(check my sig) baked on the inside with two tone eyelids... ofcourse yours would need to be silver and black, not yellow and black.
umm... with upgraded silvestars literally started bubbling within 2 seconds of the light being on.
with the bulbs provided it may have lasted 5-10 seconds before it started bubbling (which turns into basically melted plastic after a little)
with HIDs it ran for 5-6 minutes before bubbles formed inside the lens.
It sucks... i know... they look SOOOOO f'n nice installed.
