So I was going to re paint my car, but now im just taking the decals off, and going to get racing stripes painted on.

I called the paint place today, but they didnt know, cuz the boss was busy.

And they never called back.


Anyone who has had this done, about how much did it cost?

 

HA my blazer X cost me almost a grand to get fully repainted

 

1500+ depends on how your honestly doing it. if it were me i would start at the bottom of the bumper, go onto the hood roof trunk spoiler and rear bumper. reality of it, is its a lot of work. paint prep is where your money to go and then you need someone to come out and lay out the stripes or you need someone in the shop thats experianced enough to lay down a straight line all the way down the car. lay the stripes down reclear everything. sand the lines flat and buff to a shine. basically your repainting the entire middle of the car.

 

1 grand to get the whole care repainted? ok you either knew the guy or it was a bad place haha

i know they shop. HA go look in my pics my blazer paint is not cheap

That is for

Taking ALL the decals off.
and
Repainting the stripes.

 

I could get it done for about $600. My friend works at a local paint shop. He would help me prep before I took it to the shop, then he would only charge me for the paint... I already have a good idea for the car...

 

Thats a good price, but it doesnt help me out.

Where did you get the eyelids?

 

Got my old talon done for 500. came out nice. all prep work was done by me. clear coat not included. it lasted. this was at maaco.

 

I made them myself, 1 can of gm color matched spray paint pn: 12346642, can of semigloss black, can of clear, 4 coats of yellow, 3.5 of black, 5 coats of clear.
My friend Kellen owed me a favor so he baked them for me and painted the inside housing black.
