Headlight Housing Question

Ok, I know this is like the 100th repost, but I just have a few questions about painting the headlight housing.

1. Should I sand the chrome housing?

2. Should I use a clear-coat?

3. If I use the oven method to take apart the headlight, what temp should i set it at and how long?

Thats really the only questions I have. I plan on doing it on saturday. If there are any tips or extra advise that you think I should know, i would greatly appreciate it if you shared. Thanks for your help

i did a light wetsand. make sure the surface is clean as well. I didn't use clear coat, but i imagine i could. And I don't personally suggest the oven method. A hairdryer on high works fine and gives you more control as to not damage the headlight.

I reused my sealant just fine with mine. I pressed them on so they'd stay in place while I baked them, and pushed hard when I took them out. Works fine!
