HELP WITH INSTALL OF 2nd GEN PROJOS!

I just got in the 2nd gen projectors tonight and ive had the 8000k H7 kit but i can't figure out the install.

If anyone can help me out...give me a how-to or anything i would be greatly appreciative.

The guy at 3bspecialists said i needed the 9007 wiring harness so thats what i have...however ive heard now that i needed the H7?

Any help will be greatly appreciated because im looking at getting these installed before school on monday :/

If i could have a how-to for the install of the HID's to the headlights then thatd be perfect. thanks a ton for all your help!

You need the cobalt HID kit.
The actual bulbs will hook up with the kit since they plug into the ballast not the car, the ballst have to hook up with the car however via the blue plug that connects to the headlights now. Thats why you need the Cobalt kit, which would have been a 9007 kit I guess.

Is your H7 kit specific for a cobalt or not,
Are you sure that the second generation projectors take H7's. I have the 3rd gen, and thety take H1's i think the first gen take those as well, just make sure .
The only part of the kit that to interface with the car itself is the headlight plug. The rest of the kit is the plugs for the bulbs (two smaller plugs on each side) the power wire and the ground.
The power goes to the jumper post in the fuse box, the ground can go to the bolt on the strut labeled ground, but if your kit does not have one of those blue plugs on it, then your SOL

Yea the 1st and 3rd take H1's.

2nd gen takes H7's. My kit isnt specific. I have the 9007 wiring harness. All i need to know is if thats the right harness....

like did you use an H1 harness or a 9007 harness?

because im not sure if i need the H7 harness for mine. :/

thanks.

(my kit does have a blue plug [part of the harness])

I have never delt with a added harness before but if you have a blue plug then you should be ok

Alright now, looking at your kit there should be
2 Ballast
2 Bulbs
a couple of relays (inline)
a couple of fuses(inline)
a ring terminal attached to a power line
a ring terminal attached to a ground line

Hold up, I'm just going to go take a couple pics of mine, this should help you out better

ok heres the blue clip that plugs into the balast and into the plug that comes off the car and goes to the headlights

that plug then splits off

One wire goes to the ballast (where the screwdriver is pointing)

The other wires goes to a set of relays

and eventually on to the power source

In the mean time the two wires that come off the bulbs them selves, this is a picture of where they meet up with the connectors ones again where the screwdriver is pointing

And those connections do directly to the other input on the balast

So if your 9007 wire harness has the blue plug on it and can someway connect to one of the connectors on the balast then your OK
