Exclamation Help with LED's

Alright so heres the problem, i bought a led kit for my interior, and i planned to wire it to the door switch, so when i opne the door it comes on and wire it to a switch spliced off of the 12v cig lighter so when the door was closed i could turn them on.
The kit came with a controll pad for the different modes, pulse, fadeing, etc.. any ways i wanted to remove the plate and just wire the leds to the power source. I removed the wires from the controler and there are four wires for each tube, black, white, red, and green.
Now im a noob when it comes to led's so does any one know how to wire these. I figured Black=neg, Red=Pos, White=Ground but then theres a green so i have no idea how to wire these,
Thanks for your time
-Addison

I just kept my underbody kit in the box, & wired it up to the battery & used the remote that came with it.

leave it in the box man..or wire it up to a switch that you can plug into your cig lighter...get an ignited switch and just use that, dont start wiring up to your cars power and spliing lines especially if ur just starting wiht this.
