help me please x_x
ok I started a re-paint on my interior trim and messed up a bit (as in, not even worth putting back in) does any one know of some paint stripper that wont destroy the plastic?
and any tips on when I go to paint again... I was using krylon fusion since it didn't require primer or sanding, but I put some masking tape on tooo soon and when I pealed it off, it pealed the paint underneith of it with it >_<
so ya any help will be appreciated... thanks

Dunno but when i messed the paint up on mine when i was painting my interior i just let it dry sand, apply another coat until the spot was gone. But if it is real bad you may not be able to do this.

Im personally of the belief that theres no substitute for sanding, priming and clearcoating.
the 3 things that make the difference between good paint. and bad paint.
I agree with mkulrey, sand it back and start over. though with 1 proviso.
grab an old piece of interior trim from somewhere. wrecker....old car...something, and maybe do some practicing first...so you can do it right first time on your real interior.

well see heres my problem, I got the trim peaces on both sids of the stereo trim done... and they look excelent, however I F*D up on the middle piece and as you know, it's got all those lil tight areas, and for some reason, sanding isn't doing any good, it is just clumping up on the sand paper.... should I wait and let it dry longer or something?

looks like to me that you put the coats on way to heavy or didnt allow it proper drying time. Its going to be a bitch to fix but it could be done with a lot of patients, time and sanding. I actually had mine done by a professional that does all the painting for the car club im in and he even had a hard time with it. The paint wanted to fishscale due to some cleaning residue that was still on the trim. He had to clean the **** out of it and redo a couple parts several times before it came out as nice as it did.

they came out decent, i'm happy with them, not the besti n the world, but when I have some money to spare (which'll be never) than I will either get myself a real paint kit (air compressor etc) or pay some one to do it for me. (i'm not a big fan of the latter).
also, here is what I intend it to look like.
what do ya think guys? (cept for the obvious pain I am in now >_<)

I think it looks great! I also think you were in a hurry to do it and put the paint down way TOO Thick! Let it dry sand it and this time THIN even coats!
Its gonna look great just slow down a bit.
