Anyone ever take out the headliner for a new fabric? And pics or how to's? I'm wanting to do this but don't know how to he thre headliner out haha

 

Its doable.

Undo the front a pillars by popping out the airbag tabs, then 10mm to take out the bolts behind those caps. Pull the pillars.

B pillars have the seatbelt bolt holding them in thats a T27 i believe and very stubborn indeed be careful not to strip it or your frigged. After that might be another bolt holding it in i forget.

C pillars might just be clipped in but are tricky just be careful the clips break easy.

Unbolt any hanger things or oh **** handles if you have them

Up top now remove the visors by using small torx bits i think t10 or t13, pull off the visors, the microphone speaker thing by the mirror simply unscrews out of the hole its in then unplug the speaker, the sunroof switch thing just pops out. Pull the sunroof lining if you think its necessary. Then keep both of your doors wide open you kight want to remove your front seats and rear headrests, it will basically tilt onto its side and turn it and pull it out. Be sure that theres no wires still glued onto the top side of the headliner and be sure not to bend it to the point where it creases at all.

 

Pretty much what Riceburner said. It's going to turn into more of a project than you think. Physically getting the headliner in and out of the car is probably the trickiest part. Don't forget to plan on doing the sunvisors as well, if you want everything to match. Painting all the components for the sunvisors, dome light, a-pillars, etc. is time consuming as well.

Maybe worth it, maybe not. This is black suede, not sure what you were thinking about.

 

I really like that. Tan headliner sucks D. I wish there was an easier bingo dabber/plasti dip interior option lol.

I redid my headliner in the fabric spray. I took out all the A,B and C pillars, visors and door for the sun roof. Painted everything with about 2 cans. After I was finished, take a microfiber towel and scrub down all the items vigorously. This will keep the paint from looking like **** and sticking to the fabric incorrectly. It turned out awesome and just takes a microfiber to clean up if you get a smudge.

 

I wrapped my old cars headliner in black "Suede" and it ended up falling down... I tried over and over with different product etc but it just keep sagging so I said **** it and just got a new headliner from the scrapper and spray dyed it black, looked great, was a bit crunchy feeling but who strokes a headliner anyways

 

Yeah i cant remember his name but he was selling the car i asked him how he did it

After you spray it and its almost dry take a microfiber towel and scuff it. It made mine look stock with the black. It turned out good.
