Question hid bulb question...

before i ask, keep in mind... I'm pretty lame and don't know what the hell I'm doing, hence why i ask you guys.

I have a regular 6k hid kit installed on my 06 (stock housing). low beam only... w a 35w ballast (if that even matters)

my inspection is coming up and ill fail if i don't have high beams. don't really wanna waste the time in swapping them out twice back to the regular halogens.

can someone point me to where I can get replacement bulbs that have hid low & halogen high?

or would i need to do anything different for maybe a bi-xenon setup? if not maybe thats the route i should go... and hopefully someone can point me in that direction if thats easy enough.

thanks for the help guys!

Got mine from ddmtuning they sell just new bulbs but you will have to get a wiring harness for the new bulbs.Because of the high low beam.Hope this helps.

You don't need a new harness for the high low/beam set up and you can use the same ballast, bulbs like that are going to be a lil more pricey, but seriously don't be afraid to buy of eBay I by all my hid stuff from eBay and have never had any issues with kits I have sold to locals. Plus it's the quickest way for you to get them to most of the time.

I think if you buy a hi-low bulb you will have to add a different harness to make the high beams work in the stock headlights.

Try www.3bspec.com
Msg Hanh. He is a great guy to deal with & gets your orders shipped out quick. Plus 3bspec is a vendor on this forum. They have a 9007 kit with a halogen high beam attached to the hid bulb.

I'm not 100% sure but you might need to order new ballasts along with the bulbs because from past experience I've had Ebay ballasts that don't fit certain replacement bulbs & wires. So, you might need a whole new hid kit.

Nope you will not have to get another kit or ballast or harness to run a high low bulb, it just hooks up differently you don't need anything different thou. Trust me I know I deal with hids alot. You cau use your exsiting ballast just buy bulbs that are high low with the right clips not ds2s

Seriously name has nothing to do with it as long as you mount it correctly and don't short them cause you installed them wrong which it pretty hard to do wrong, seriously eBay and seller that is selling for around 40-70 with shipping thy also have 2 yr warrantys on everything I have never had issues with any of th kits I have bought and sold to friends, and I have bought numbers of kits from different people only had one blub have to replace and that was do to it being dropt, screw paying for a name and palying 100plus for hids just cause they say they use both high and low I'm o ly running a low on my car there's no point of the bright cause it's not brighter than the hid.

When I had a high low kit in my stock headlights I had a harness that ran from one headlight to the other and leads that hooked to the battery terminals but still used the same balists.I don't have that with my low beams in my projectors.
