Since you have an 06 drls are not an issue for you. Your parking lights are your drl. Your good. But yes, get the retrofits if you can, they're 10000x better.

Retro is putting projectors in the stock housing. You will have to take them apart. You can either pick up a set of cheap aftermarket g1 or g3 projectors from buyhids.com or eBay, or spend more and get high quality projectors that will require some more work from theretrosource.com. Go on hidplanet.com and do some research. They have several threads comparing all the projectors out there. The cheap ones are nice at first, but eventually you'll want better and will end up spending more money in the long run. For an easy install if you want the better projectors, get the mini h1 kit from theretrofitsource.com. Projectors, shrouds, and hid kit for $275.

i think someone said the 06 balt doesnt have dtrl. but what i did was wired my halos and leds to my parking light and the obviously your hid is the low beam and then you go your highbeam. me personally i drive around wit my fogs and parking lights on all the time. so IMO i think they look sexy with the halos, leds, parking lights and fogs on at the same time.

but hey man its you car so you do what you want

This is my setup as well. Your CCFLs will be just fine running with the drls.

I think i am going to get the BI-XENON MORIMOTO MINI STAGE III KIT (H1) kit from retrofit source. Does that kit come with everything I need to do it right. Also, what is the difference and or benefits of D2S kit.

Also, i am wanting to get 3000k hid fogs. What is the best option for that and do i need relays for those or just wire them straight into the old wires with either splicing or plug and play.

sorry to dig up this old thread but i was having a problem with the g3's halos, they are only on with the low beams/ and highs. how do i go about having them on with my parking lights? cause like the guy above i ride usually with the parking lights and fogs. i don't want the halos off when i flip on the parking lights, thats the issue how do i get them wired into the parking lights when i turn them on. colors would help.

also there is a relay of some sort that the halo wires go into its like a 10 pin connector. the halos have 4 wires coming out of one halo ring.

for that set up, there should be a set of wires(red/blk) that says somethin like"power for caution light" or somethin like that... tap the red into the brown wire in your stock bulb harness and the blk into any blk wire there...
