Is it a bad idea to put HID's in stock headlamp housing?>

no that there is a million threads about this and all it does is turn into a flame war and people e-parenting..its very bright and known to blind some other people, but in the end its ur car.

i wouldn't do it, the light isn't spread evenly and you will blond other drivers coming towards you.

i have had HID lights in my car for about a year now with no proplems, i havent been flashed and my dads friend works at the dmv and he looked at them and said its fine. there alittle bright but said not enought to hurt other cars on the road.

I have plenty of friend with Si's and SRT's with 10k in there stock headlights and dont have any issues

To answer your question no it will not do any physical damage to your car.

But it is still a bad idea to do it for many other reasons.
