How Do I Make Hid Work

i have a supercharged SS, not turbo, and all the fuses were in tact (checked with a meter)
last night at about 1:30am.. i woke up and had the sudden urge to work on the headlights.. so.. i got the headlights removed and the brackets taken off then i realized the lil plus sign on the top of the power plug...
AND
the negative wire was in the positive slot -_-
so i made a stoopid mistake.
the HIDs fired right up and i had bright pink color filling my garage

where the "turbo" button is.. is my trunk open button lol
im pretttty sure its not a turbo button.
i have a 2007 SS SC not SS TC

funny story..
so as soon as i read your message, i run out to my car and start it up to back it into the driveway and shine the lights on the garage.....
the headlight work fine but only one fog lamp came on... so i looked at the fuses to make sure they were good. and they were fine. i then proceeded to take the headlight off to reach the fog and ballast...
and the ballast was really hot and such.,,.
long story short... the ballast like blew up..
QUESTION1!!!!! is that under a warranty??? i just put the HID's on yesterday and they were connected 100% perfect.... ive had them for 2 days,....
