hahaha... touche!

It takes me about 3 hours.

And as soon as I drive the car it is already soiled. Dust is ineviteable.

The one that really made me laugh was the weather comment. It won't rain for a month, but the day I wash my car, it'll rain within a day or two...lol.

California Water Blades will only scratch/scuff your paint if you didn't thoroughly wash the car and there's still dirt/dust/road ****/etc still on it. Also, you have to ensure that the blade itself is clean before using it. Then, follow with a pristine microfiber cloth.

autogeek.net my friends... if you're serious about detailing, that should be your first resource. There are other tricks of the trade that won't be on there, but its a huge first step.

I say this because I got my car washed Sunday. The weatherman said sunny for the next 5 days (we all know the weatherman never lies). Monday morning, it's raining. Monday afternoon, they're two huge, CHUNKY, pieces of bird crap... one on the bottom of the passenger window and the other smack center on the spoiler... and a little bit got onto the trunk as well FML

if allowed to get too dry, they will be damaged, but normally you can submerse them in water and they will be ok again;
iirc I wrecked my first one by allowing two things to happen;
1) got too dry
2) froze

it seemed to have freezerburnt corners... so I replaced it.

RE: Mr Clean 'Autodry'

This post is a heads up;
If anyone has a Mr Clean Autodry setup, and broke their gun, I have extras that I can send you for free as long as you cover shipping.

This past weekend I found that the local market was flooded with these last year, and retailers are now selling the starter kits for about the price of replacement filters (I am buying the starter kits with the real filter, not the “starter” filter that most of these kits come with), so for roughly the price of a filter I am getting a filter, a large soap, and a ‘spare’ gun…

I currently have five “spare” guns , and my brother wants me to pick him up a couple kits tomorrow.

Also, if you want a full kit I can send you one for $10+shipping (as I’ve understood MSRP is $30) – this is cheaper than Amazon.com.

I use a motorcycle dryer I picked up at a harley davidson dealer. I wash my car, pull it in my shop, and dry and detail from there, I use a compressor to get air outta the crevices and the motorcycle dryer everywhere else and towel finish.
