How many cans?

Ok im going to paint all my dash pieces with the factory vic red spray paint (part # 12345539) and most likly my front chevy emblem too, so my question is.. how many cans do you all think it will take to do all that? I might want to paint some engine plastics too (whats left of it) and i want to do a good job so i will probably do many light coats. Im thinking two cans......?

All depends on your technique. One should work but having a second on hand is a good idea. As far as using clear goes thats up to you. I have yet to use clear and I think it looks great. But I way just clear them soon. I would suggest the duplicolor clear because it's for automotive paints. you know?

if you're getting the 5 or 5.5 ounce cans, get 2 to be safe... i used a little bit over 1 for my interior... like you said, do VERY, VERY light coats.... it's better to give it 6 light coats than one or 2 big ones and have nasty ass drips on your interior...
