Angry I made a mistake! Help me out?

Ok, Ok So i've done this before, Numerous amount of times and never once have had this outcome. Debadging. I've got a 2008 cobalt Sport (Previous SS 2.4) I used the "creditcard" Method on the chevy symbol and when i wiped away the dirt, i scratched the hell out of it!! I ended up ripping the symbol off by hand and finished it that way, Wax will not take care of it. It looks like hell. It's Imperial Blue Metallic. The "COBALT" and "SPORT" symbols came off with out a problem. Now what do i do? Pay a body shop 200-300 dollars to re-do my trunk?

No ****? Well 60 bucks isn't bad at all, i didn't think a couple hundred was bad either, just don't really want to have without while they're re finishing my trunk lol. It's only small surface scratches. I'll take some of these other guys advice and then take it to a local body shop. Thanks!

I use 3M scratch remover first and then go back over it with meguires scratch x to polish it up. When your satisfied the way it looks go back over it with wax. I have removed so many surface scratches in the clear with this method. I works great.

Lucky there is a

I was about flip out...but I have an LE5 too so:

Moron, you should have used some fishing line and goo gone.

Now buff that scratch out. Wash the area, then use a compound...careful though you want to remove the scratch...not make it worse.

I had a little scratch from when I did mine....I just painted it black and put it back on and it looks good and the scratch is covered. Good luck bro.

I see a lot of people on this site that paint their badges? I'd like to do it to my front bowtie, any suggestions/directions? wouldn't know how to go about it! Thanks in advance

well, it's fixed. A place called YMK collision took care of it for me, free of charge.. There are still some kind people out there? lol he just took 3,000 grit then 1,500 and walah!

I had the same issue as you. (and same car) I just left it cause you can't notice the scratches unless up-close.

A body shop used 3,000 grit wetsand and then went over it real fast with 1,500 grit (wet) and buffed it, it looks brandnew and it was free
