Ok, now im having a little trouble measuring the length of the tip? 6mm or 7? My car was manufactured in february of 2006, so what should that make it?

my antenna span out easily with a crescent wrench. but my car has 25,000km and is an 09 =\. i would imagine cars that have been through more winters would be harder

Me too, but mine was cake as soon as I used a wrench.. I just need to get the accurate measurement of my thread, damn thing is so small to begin with... it was manufactured in february of 2006, would that tell anyone the length of it? I can't tell if its 6, 6.5 or 7mm tall.

According to the Ark Performance link here 07-ON Chevrolet Cobalt ARK Shorty Antenna May/06 was when GM changed to the bigger thread.

So, yours should be 6mm.
