i take it with the shortage on CF that the actuall material isnt cheap

i found some prices from a supplier...50"X ___yards is 35-55$ a yard depending on weight and pattern

exactly. also you have to watch out for alot of companies who don't list the grade of the material. the cf i use is 1st quality 5.7oz 2x2 twill. it's so beautiful off the roll i dont even want to cut it lol.

aside from making sure its flat and you dont damage the weave, is it really that difficult to wrap something?

it depends on the individual most of the time but yes it can get very difficult..and the weave is the most important part...ounce you do it a few times you learn various things that help you.

i like me carbon fiber to but its expensive to buy and i have never done it like impluse but i'd love to learn because i would love to wrap some stuff on the redline

maybe a little lol...for the most part im gonna keep the cf for the eye candy inside....she's stayin black as night outside.

i dont want to say flat out yes...i'm almost certain you can...the thing is with the temps and metal shrinking and expanding you might have a problem.....im not %100 sure on the answer to that

or you can just have me do both i will be making a mold of the spark plug cover and the injector cover also a little down the road.....or i can just wrap stock parts for now which i could get done faster.

ok here's the pics after the 3rd coat...i might put one more coat if after it cures i feel they need it...otherwise i just need to trim them down and start the long process of sanding and clearing and sanding and polishing....

oh shucks lol.....just put another coat on the side edges bc they weren't as thick as the top. maybe tomorrow i'll start to trim them and then start sanding. i'll keep you guys posted.
