yes i am interested. since it will take a lil time ill have the money. $125 seems like a good price but like someone else said i am wondering what it will be made of (something lightweight since thats the point of removing the seats lol)

This is my first post, as I was just browsing around the site. I'm actually considering building a rear seat delete kit for Cobalts. We already do these for Mustangs, and Mini Coopers in high quality ABS Plastic, and are branching into other vehicles.

I'd love to hear what the interest level is on this, so keep the comments coming. Our main goal is always weight loss, with an eye for a quality finish and functionality.

Has anyone weighed the components from the Cobalt rear seats? Photos?

the rear seats really dont weigh much at all. i didnt think it would be worth it. i have not weighed the black bar where the seats mount but all the seats are under 20 lbs.

OK......me and my buddy finished a seat delete for his cobalt.......corvette water fall inspired....where corvette emblem sits we have a large (Trailblazer) SS emblem. It looks sick and if I get time I will post some picks. Bad news is that you cant recline....it was not one of his worries as his car is fully customized, running 547 whp and has over 15 grand invested......this car will go to sema!!!

But its all fiberglass, formed from a covette mold and cut to fit......looks sick and like I said I will try to post soon......

As for my car right now it has no back seat, 1/4 plywood cut to fit where lower seat was, wrapped in black auto carpet and nothing covering the trunk opening.....I plan to fill that opening with 2 memphis 12"ers. amps will be mounted under the rear dash as soon as I can fab a braket so that they dont interfere with the 6x9ers.....

another thing that my buddy is planning is a hatchback conversion..... Car will still look the same, but it will be a hatch......wha your probably thinking is that my bro is a corvette freak.....yes he is..... even has corvette exhaust too, lol
