And that piranha double bar is ugly IMO.

Correct me if I'm wrong though...the Impala board isn't plug and play correct? It involves a bit of wiring right?

The darker color doesn't let as much light through, therefore it doesn't let as much heat through it. Same thing happened when I blacked out my amber lens in my headlights.

All 3 of mine were distorted at 50k mi and I never niteshaded it.

The amount of wiring is 2 wires total, ground to ground and power to power, toss a couple of inline spices in there and you're done. A chimp could wire this thing up with half a brain.

Insofar as fabbing up the mounting hardware I used 3m doublesided tape, same tape has been on 2 different cars for a combined mileage of 60k miles.

All in all I'd seriously give this project a half a star out of 10, and that's only because you gotta figure out which wires go where. Get it wrong? No worries nothing burns out or blows up, just swap the wires and finish up.

i agree with you pete.
the MPX one is alot easier as for the impala you have to find the whole housing and than your stuck with a useless housing since you only need the led board from it.
i love my MPX brake light!

Seems easy enough. The MPx one simply plugs right in. Just saying. And the MPx one will require you to come up with a way to hide the remaining bulb if you're **** about making it perfect like myself. Just saying. Not that either board is better than the other, but they're about the same price and serve the same purpose. There's no need to compare which is better. They each look a little different and each require a wee bit of fab work to make it work or look perfect. Different strokes for different folks.
