I tried hook the red to the + thing sticking up next to the fuse box under the hood. And the black I put it under a screw and they didn't lite up. I checked the fuse thats on the red wire and it was good.

K Run A Wire From Your Power Source To The Power Post On Your Switch, run Your Positive Wire On Your L.e.d.s. To The Accesory Post On Your Switch , Run A Ground Form The Ground Post On Your Switch To Someplace You Can Drill A Hole In The Metal And Put A Screw In It For A Good Ground ( Or Unbolt Something Metal And Attach Your Wire To That Your Choice )
I Always Run Power Straight To My Switch And It Doesnt Get Hot, I Guess It Depends On The Switch Your Using And The Gauge Of Wire. . . I Always Use 16 Or 18 Gauge For All My Wirning Needs
Good Luck

never had a problem ,knock on wood lol. if you think about it as long as the switch is grounded out by the ground wire you wont have a problem.the switch just make and breaks connection of power,if switch was not grounded . . .it would prob melt lol
